The following table lists for how many days the holder of a foreign passport may stay in Thailand without a visa. If a country is not listed, its nationals must get a visa before entering Thailand. List updated by Thai Immigration on December 29th, 2002.
"Visas on arrival" will be delivered if and only if visitor:

has a valid passport with 6 month validity ans an empty page for the visa;
 has proof of confirmed air tickets showing 15 (30) days or less in Thailand;
 must have clean record in Thailand (no criminal history);
 must carry at least $200 per person or $400 per family;
 should note that NO extension will be granted.
 Purpose of stay must be tourism.

Le tableau suivant liste les pays dont les ressortissants sont dispensés de visa pour entrer en Thaïlande ainsi que la durée de séjour autorisée. Les pays non listés ne bénéficient pas de cet avantage. Liste mise à jour par les services de l'immigration thaïlandaise le 29 décembre 2002. Les conditions sont les suivantes:

Passeport en cours de validité (6 mois minimum) et une page libre pour le visa;
 billet d'avion confirmé montrant que la durée du séjour sera de 15 (30) jours au maximum;
 sans antécédent criminel en Thaïlande;
 200 USD par personne (ou 400 par famille) au minimum;
 ce type de visa ne peut faire l'objet d'une extension.
 Le but de la visite doit être touristique.
