 Function & Responsibility
Functions and responsibilities of the Tourist Police Division are as followings:
1. To suppress and to protect the criminal problems happened to the international tourists.
2. To facilitate and to provide both Thai and international tourists with the security and the protection of their interest.
3. To promote the Thai tourism industry
4. To join with or to support any activities of the authorities concerned.

Major Policies
In order that there will be operational guidelines which are in accordance with the government's policies and that the operations meet the official objectives, the Tourist Police Division has determined on the following major policies
with various emphasis:
1. To establish and good image and good reputation for the tourist police so that respect, they earn acceptance, and trust from both local and foreign tourists as well as the general public.
2. To promote good understanding among people in the tourism business so that they realize the importance of preserving and reviving natural resources and so that they can co-operate in helping correct the problems of environmental deterioration.
3. To insill unity in the group, unifying the tourist police force so that they willingly carry out their official duties in the right way, providing service, convenience, and safety for tourists as if
they were family embers.
4. To promote and develop local tourism with further co-operation with the private and the public sectors, protecting tourists from being treated unfairly and providing modern and up-to-date services.
5. To support and improve administration in the organization so that the staff are well-trained and more knowledgeable, which will enable them to work effectively well as to live happily.
