Calling from/to Thailand
The
telephone system is efficient and reliable in Thailand. Check rates given
by hotels and condominiums as they may be very expensive. When dialing from
Thailand: dial 001-country code-number. When calling Thailand from abroad:
dial 001 or 00 - 66 - area code (do not dial the 0) - 7 or 8 digits number
(actually, the area code is now included in the number, giving an 8 digit
number eveywhere in Thailand).
cyber cafes are very common, even upcountry. Rates vary around 20 to 30 baths per hour in Bangkok (charged per minute or quarter of an hour with often a 5 or 10 minutes minimum). Expect 1 or 2 baths per minute (more is not acceptable) upcountry and in some areas of bangkok.

et condominiums. Pour appeler en Thailande, l'indicatif du pays est le 66
suivi du code de la zone (sans le 0) suivi de 7 ou 8 chiffres (en fait depuis
peu le code local est intégré au numero de téléphone).
Les cyber-cafés sont très répandus, même dans les villes moyennes. Compter 20 a 30 baths de l'heure à Bangkok (facturation à la minute, au quart d'heure ou a la demi-heure avec souvent un minimum de 5 ou 10 minutes). Le prix grimpe a 1 voire 2 baths la minute (plus c'est du vol) dans certaines zones touristiques de Bangkok et en province.
